Frequently asked questions

Q1. What are eyelash extensions?
Eyelash Extensions are so popular, every other salon is offering this service to their clients. Eyelash extensions provide an illusion of enhanced, lengthened and thick/full eyelashes. Lash extension is a process where a single strand of synthetic eyelashes that are curved to replicate a natural eyelash, is gently applied to each individual natural eyelash for a natural, beautiful and luscious look. Eyelash Extensions are perfect for special occasions or for day to day wear.
Q2. How long will eyelash extensions last?
When applied properly, eyelash extensions will last the length of the natural growth cycle of your eyelashes.
Generally, it can last about 3 to 5 weeks, some even longer depending on individual lifestyle and aftercare. Regular combing will prevent tangle of the lash and create a long-lasting result.
Everyone’s experience will differ based on day to day activities but overall touch ups/ refills should only be required every 2 to 3 weeks.
Q3. Are eyelash extensions safe?
The application process is 100% safe and painless. In fact, some clients find the process relaxing and most fall asleep during the procedure.
However, improper application by an unqualified eyelash technician can cause damage to your natural lashes. We use glue made in Japan and Korea which have gone through rigorous testing and are safe and durable.
Q4. How long does the procedure take?
The procedure takes anywhere from 2 hours to 3 hours.
Q5. Can I apply mascara to my eyelash extensions?
Yes, but we do not recommend to apply mascara. If you still want to apply mascara, we recommend using water-based mascara.
Q6. Can I use Eyelash Curlers?
No, we do not recommend using Eyelash Curlers. These Curlers will damage the eyelash extensions and it may cause easy to take off.

Q8. Can I get eyelash extensions during pregnancy?
Beauty5Lash does not offer eyelash extension services to customers who are in the early stage of pregnancy (up to 12th week) until they have entered the stable period (13th week or later).
Pregnant customers who are concerned may request to take a patch test in advance. Even if we did not have any allergic reactions in the past, we cannot be certain what changes pregnancy will bring to our body.
While it is believed that the glue used for eyelash extension does not have any negative effect on the unborn child, expectant mothers who are sensitive to odor may feel unwell or nauseous during the process. In such cases, customers may want to give themselves some time and put off the session until their condition has stabilized.
Q9. Can I get eyelash extensions after an eyelid surgery or LASIK?
Beauty5Lash does not offer eyelash extension services to customers who have undergone an eyelid surgery or LASIK in the past two months.
We also do not offer eyelash extension services to customers who have recently undergone some form of cosmetic surgery.
As it may take some time for the incisions to heal after the surgery, attaching eyelash extensions before they heal completely may irritate the wound.
If you have undergone any of the above procedures, please consult a specialist doctor on whether it is appropriate to get eyelash extensions before visiting our studio for an appointment.
Q10. Can I get eyelash extensions after a permanent eyeliner treatment?
Beauty5Lash does not offer eyelash extension services to customers who have undergone a permanent eyeliner treatment in the past month.
This is because our skin and mucous membrane become extremely sensitive after the permanent eyeliner treatment, and applying eyelash extensions may irritate the eye, thereby triggering hyperemia.
For those who are getting a permanent eyeliner treatment, we recommend that you remove your eyelash extensions completely before doing so.
Q11. What if eyelash extensions from another salon are still attached?
For safety reasons, we are unable to provide touch-up for eyelash extensions that are applied at another salon. This is to avoid possible hygiene-related problems if the different types of glue and materials used at other salons are mixed with those used at our salon.
We will need to remove all eyelash extensions applied at other salons before applying ours.
Please inform us if you currently have any eyelash extensions attached when you book your appointment with us.
An additional charge is needed to remove existing eyelash extensions.
Q12. Can I attach eyelash extensions to permed/ lifted eyelashes?
While it is possible to attach eyelash extensions to permed eyelashes, we do not recommend doing so.
Those who have had their hair permed before are probably aware that perming solution is very damaging to the hair.
Also, the angle of the curl created by eyelash perm is different from the angle of eyelash extensions, which means the area of contact is smaller between your eyelash and the eyelash extension. Because of the poor contact, you may feel uncomfortable when wearing eyelash extensions on your permed eyelashes.
While your eyelashes may curl perfectly immediately after perming, each eyelash grows at a different speed so the length of the permed eyelashes will become uneven after about a month.
Attaching extensions to lashes with uneven lengths will cause them to get tangled easily.
The life cycle of eyelashes is about 1 to 3 months, although it varies across individuals and according to the condition of the eyelash.
We, therefore, recommend that you put on eyelash extensions after the length of your permed eyelashes has become less uneven.
Q13. Precautions When Using Makeup Removers
When eyelash extensions are attached to your eyes, refrain from using oil-based, cream-type or milk-type cleansers.
This is because some ingredients of the cleanser may cause the glue to melt and the eyelash extension to fall off easily.
While eyelash extensions can normally last for about a month’s time if handled with care, using the abovementioned types of cleansers may cause them to come off in about 1 to 2 weeks.
To maintain the eyelash extension in the best condition, you should make use of oil-free cleansers to remove your makeup gently.
If possible, please avoid using oil-based, cream-type or milk-type makeup removers or waterproof mascaras one day before your appointment with us.
Also, if you are using products that contain oil, such as face cream, eye cream, emulsion, sunblock cream and waterproof-type eyeliners, please make sure that they do not come into contact with your eyelashes.
To take care of your eyelash extensions, simply use a towel and tap your face dry gently after washing your face clean with a cleanser, followed by applying eyelash serum in addition to your usual skincare routine.
Q.14 How do I choose the look I want?

Eyelash extensions are available in a number of lengths and thickness. We normally consult with you first to see what type of style you are interested in. We also determine what your lashes can hold in regards to size. Each person’s lashes will vary in strength and length. We take this into consideration when creating a look for you. The overall look of the lashes is very natural.
